You can throw all sorts of shade at the National Enquirer cover when you are buying your Slim Jims and Grey Goose this week. Their cover story claims that Tom Cruise cheated on Katie Holmes. Normally I give it MEH and move on while trying to restock my pantry, but the rag claims he was found half naked in bed with a woman.
I laughed, gave a snort of derision and informed the entire store that I’d believe Elvis was alive and doing a tour with Tupac this summer before I’d believe that boobies did anything but make Tommy say, “Jeepers! Those are yucky!” True story.
The cover beckons you to pick it up and promises photos of the alleged half-nakedness inside. I couldn’t bring myself to see pics of Tom getting his toenails painted by THIS WOMAN.
This story is flanked by claims that Oprah has been fired at OWN and Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie have had “secret meetings” which haven’t actually happened.
Of course reps aren’t even dignifying the claims with a response and some call it BS beneath a need for clarification or denial.
